Getting back on top of your health game is possible. I’ll show you how to find the right foods for you so that you can lose weight and feel fit and healthy again. We’ll work together to find that new routine for you, change the balance so that there is some time left to focus on your health. And when you’ve had a full-on day at work and would rather bury yourself under a mountain of chocolate than hit the treadmill, I’ll be here to push you back in the right direction.

I've been where you are.

I’ve relocated for my dream job, left behind my friends and family to go it alone, and had the most amazing time working as a tour guide. Not only did I have the chance to travel and explore new countries and cultures, but also to sample all the new and exciting foods. Every meal was an opportunity for experimentation and it was more important to me to try something new  than to eat healthily. Gradually the pounds began to pile on, and that infamous “expat stone” was spreading round my belly and thighs.  As I began to make friends in my new country, eating became a social event. New restaurants to try, new drinks to taste, I was living life in the moment and would deal with the weight gain later. 

Fast forward a couple of years and my soon-to-be husband arrived in London, lean and trim, ready for his new life abroad. But not even he could escape the Heathrow injection - the all too common weight gain that expats experience when they are settling in to their new life. For him, it wasn’t so much the new cuisine (let’s face it, most English food just isn't really a match for his mum’s home cooked Turkish delights!), culture shock played a part too. When everything in your environment changes, the loss of what you know and the disorientation can be pretty stressful. Anxiety and emotions play a huge part in our food choices, and the change in hormones can lead to weight gain too. And whilst England may be a green and pleasant land, we all know why its so green….the sky is often grey and gloomy and the clouds full of rain. The weather can be depressing, and he was no longer living the active outdoors lifestyle he was used to.
